Child labor is common in the "20 de Julio" and "Caracolí" neighborhoods in Bogota. Children and their families work in the (illegal) markets in these parts of the city every day. Our partner organization Fundación Creciendo Unidos (FCU) has developed a program for these children (on average between 5 and 16 years). In total, 200 vulnerable children from a total of 120 families received already tailor-made guidance in 2020 and 2021.

Every child a home. Wereldkinderen is a mediator for intercountry adoption, when growing-up in one’s biological family or a foster family in one’s country of origin is not possible.
We support local organisations that prevent that children end up on the streets or in a children’s’ shelter.
